Alice's life began May 10, 1939, in Leachville, Ark., the daughter of Vernis and Sarah (Reynolds) Roberts.
She loved to make quilts, crochet, sew doll clothes and all types of arts and crafts.
Alice had worked for Burnett Foods in Keeler for many years.
Her greatest joy was her family, which includes: her mother, Sarah Roberts; her former husband, Alfred Gough of Dowagiac; her son, Calvin (Mary) Gough of Niles; grandsons, Raymond Gough of Niles and Michael Tyler of Three Oaks; step-grandchildren, Lyle Simmons of Niles and Christopher Simmons of Searcy, Ark.; sisters, Phyllis (Gary) Hendrixson of Covert and Virginia (Jack) Symanowski of Dowagiac; brothers, Darrell (Lillie) Roberts of Decatur and Larry Roberts of Dowagiac.
Alice, 69, of Dowagiac, passed away at Lakeland Hospital in Niles on Monday, Nov. 3, 2008.
She is preceded in death by her father, Vernis Roberts, and brothers Clevy and Raymond J. Roberts.
Her family will receive friends Friday from 6-8 p.m. at McLauchlin-Clark Funeral Home, where her funeral service will be held on Saturday at 9:30 a.m.
