Tuesday evening, Oct. 21, Charles "Buck" Fritz Sr. celebrated his 92nd birthday with good food at Round Oak Restaurant in Dowagiac.
He celebrated with his five children: Sharon and Fred Clarke, Don and Jane Fritz, Diane and Ron First, Joann Keen and Bruce and Pam Fritz, and his sister, Christine Bowman.
Son Charles "Bucky" Jr. is deceased.
Charles and family lived in Dowagiac all their lives.
His wife, Audrey, died in 1998. She worked for James Heddon's Sons bait factory for 45 years.
Charles also worked at Heddon's, Rudy Manufacturing and as a supervisor for Jessup Wood Products before retiring.
Mable Hartman made his favorite cake.
His great-grandson, Stuart Clarke from Stevensville, was born on Charles' birthday eight years ago.
