The Dowagiac Middle School eighth grade football team wrapped up a stellar two-year campaign where its went 11-0-1.
The Chieftains capped off another unbeaten season with a 7-6 victory over Lakeshore on Wednesday afternoon in a defensive struggle.
"This gifted and very talented group of young athletes have enjoyed an 11-0-1 record over the past two years as a result of hard work, dedication and team work," Dowagiac coach Chad Perrin said. "The future of Dowagiac football seems very bright. The DMS coaching staff would like to offer our encouragement and thanks to these future Chieftains."
