Family robbed of its spirit

To the editor:
For the past 20 years, my wife and I have decorated our yard during the Christmas season, first for the enjoyment of our children and then for our neighbors and the community as a whole. Most of the decorations are painted and while having a little monetary value have great sentimental value to our family. Something we had hoped to pass on to our children.
Some poor misguided individual is taking this away from us and all of you in the community that have enjoyed them through the years. Someone has been stealing our decorations just for the fun of it – robbing us all of some of our holiday spirit and joy.
We would very much like them back, no questions asked, so they can once again be displayed for all to enjoy. For everyone else in the community, we would like to ask your help in keeping an eye open for them.
If you see a lost four foot snowman holding a lantern and/or two four foot candycanes, please call (269) 845-0329, or email myg1728@mac.com
As much as we hated to we have now installed security cameras. We also ask everyone to help us protect our displays.
