The search warrant resulted from a month-long investigation by the Narcotics Unit in conjunction with the Berrien Springs/Oronoko Township Police Department. Information was received that a mother and son residing at that residence had been selling marijuana.
At the time of the search warrant execution, three adults and four children were located inside the residence.
Arrested was Sharice Chertelle Anderson, 39, of Berrien Springs for Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Deliver, 2nd Offense and Maintaining a Drug House, 2nd Offense.
Also arrested was Brooke Danielle Rodriguez, 25, of Washington, Ind. for Possession of Marijuana, 2nd Offense and a Child Support Warrant.
A third subject, a 20 year old male of Berrien Springs, was arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Deliver, 2nd Offense and Maintaining a Drug House, 2nd Offense.
During the search of the residence, officers seized approximately $240 worth of marijuana (street value), a digital scale and other evidence of narcotic trafficking from inside of the residence.
Also seized under the State of Michigan Civil Forfeiture Law was $370 in U.S. currency.
The first two listed subjects above were lodged in the Berrien County Jail on their respective charges. Warrants are being sought for a male subject of that residence who was not home at the time of the search warrant execution. Sharice Anderson and her son both have previous marijuana convictions. The other people inside the residence were released without charges.
