EDWARDSBURG – The Buchanan varsity wrestling team keeps rolling along.
The Bucks picked up two more victories Wednesday night on a day when they only expected to be wrestling Schoolcraft.
Instead of hosting the Eagles, Buchanan and Schoolcraft traveled to Edwardsburg, where the Eddies were hosting Cassopolis, St. Joseph and Mattawan.
Buchanan defeated its original opponent, Schoolcraft, 49-17 and then edged St. Joseph 36-33.
Earning two wins for the Bucks were Drew Medlin (135), Tony Taylor (152), Auston Ferris (160, 171), Jacob Ferris (215) and Robert Riggs (275).
Picking up a victory for Buchanan were Taylor Glavin (103), Jaime Marbeiter (145), Tyler Ganus (160), David Ferris (189) and David Harris (189).
The Bucks return to action on Saturday as they travel to Eau Claire for an invitational tournament.
Also competing at Eau Claire will be Niles, Dowagiac, Cassopolis, Edwardsburg and No. 1 ranked (Division 4) Hesperia.
Wrestling is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m.
