NILES – The Niles boys' basketball program recently held a free throw shooting fundraiser.
Matthew McLaughlin, an eighth grader at Ring Lardner, won the 7-9 grade division, while junior Brad Benjamin repeated as the champion in the 10-12 grade division.
McLaughlin made 83 out of 100 free throws. Benjamin made 90 of 100 charity stripe tosses.
Pledges are still coming in but we expect to raise $1,200 to put towards summer basketball camps and leagues.
