Niles lands five players on All-West Division soccer squad

NILES – The Niles varsity soccer team landed a pair of players on the Big 16 All-West Division squad's first team and a total of five players overall.
Grant Cramer, a senior defender, and Zak Herrmann, a senior midfielder, were first team selections.
Honorable mention picks were senior Justin Zimmerman, junior Nate Allison and sophomore Colin Freas.
Freas had nine goals and five assists for the Vikings, while Herrmann finished with six goals and three assists. Allison had two goals and two assists and Zimmerman one goal and one assist.
Cramer had an assist.
Also named to the first team of the All-West Division squad were Steve Sullivan, Noah Bieber, Brian Rhodes, Erik Enstrom and Tyler Bechtel of Mattawan; Kevin O'Connell, Ryan Robinson, Andrew Maumersen, Kyle Fellows and Brian Mejeur of St. Joseph; Matt Hart, David Tomczak and Steve Peters of Lakeshore; and Shannon Barber and Jose Mireles of Benton Harbor.
Name to the All-District team for the Vikings were Cramer, Freas, Herrmann and Allison.
