PORTAGE – The SoccerZone will be hosting a 3-on-3 Soccer Gobblefest Tournament on Friday, Nov. 23.
SoccerZone Multi-Sport Complex, located at 7187 South Sprinkle Road in Portage, will also hold its first 'Drop And Shop.'
The 'Drop And Shop' allows parents to leave their kids from 9 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. to enjoy a morning of fun-filled camp, including multiple sports, activities, crafts and pizza at noon, while they go off to shop kid-free.
Parents will love the special bonus deal for a second sibling or friend too.
The 3-on-3 Gobblefest Tournament affords the participating teams the guarantee of at least three games, which will be 25 minutes each, followed up with awards for champions and finalists. Tournament divisions consist of boys and girls U8-U19, and adult men's, women's and coed. Each team must roster a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 6 players.
Final roster must be in by the first game. Division standings, leading to the championship round of play shall be determined according to total team points.
Points are awarded as three points for a win, one point for a tie and no points for a loss. Teams that forfeit a game cannot advance.
"Our Drop And Shop camp was designed to provide a bonus opportunity for kids to stay active and have fun during the holiday break while giving parents some peace of mind." "We are just as excited to offer our Gobblefest Tournament again this year, as we hope to continue the success of years past, said Mike Garrett, SoccerZone owner.
