CASSOPOLIS – Sheriff Joseph M. Underwood Jr. reports that on Friday, Nov. 9, at approximately 12:50 p.m., deputies from the Cass County Sheriff's Office responded to a single-vehicle, personal-injury accident on Terminal Road, near Zilke Street, in Howard Township.
Britteny Reed, 19, of Niles, was westbound on Terminal Road when she lost control of her vehicle.
Her vehicle then went off the roadway and struck a tree.
Reed was transported by Southwestern Michigan Community Ambulances Service (SMCAS) to South Bend, Ind., Memorial Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
Reed was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident.
Assisting at the scene were Howard Township Fire Department and SMCAS.
