BUCHANAN – The Rams of South Haven swept the singles flights Tuesday afternoon en route to a 6-2 non-conference tennis victory over Buchanan.
South Haven also won the first two doubles flights against the Bucks.
Buchanan picked up its victories at No. 3 and No. 4 doubles.
Tyler Toney and Tyler Siebert defeated Steve Bartels and Ivan Diaz at No. 3 doubles, 3-6, 6-4 and 6-4.
Zach Devereaux and Kevin Watson defeated Danny Stein and Brodie Waaso at No. 4 doubles, 6-2 and 6-1.
Buchanan will compete in the Lakeland Conference Tournament on Thursday. The Bucks are the defending champions.
The singles matches will be played at Edwardsburg High School and the doubles matches at Plym Park in Niles.
Berrien Springs will hold all four No. 1 seeds in the singles flights.
Buchanan will have the top seeds at No. 3 and No. 4 doubles, while Bridgman will have the top seed at No. 1 doubles.
The Bucks, Bees and Shamrocks will battle it out for the No. 1 seed at No. 2 doubles. The seeding meeting is set for tonight.
In case of rain, the singles flights and No. 1 doubles flight will play at South Shore Racquet Club, while the No. 2, No. 3 and No. 4 singles flights will play at Lakeland Athletic Club.
