BUCHANAN – On Friday, Sept 28, a vehicle with two males approached students by Moccasin Elementary, offering them a ride.
The principal of the school alerted the Buchanan Police Department at about 2:50 p.m. about the suspicious event, according to Police Chief William Marx.
A silver car pulled up near the area where the school's safety officers were helping other students cross the street, Marx reported.
Two well dressed male subjects began talking to the students and asked them if they needed a ride anywhere. The driver was said to be wearing a white dress shirt, tie and tan dress pants.
Officers patrolled the specific area around the school for the vehicle but couldn't locate it or learn any better description.
The incident continues to be investigated by the Buchanan Police Department and any information would be appreciated. Call the department at 695-5120.
