NILES – Brandywine High School is celebrating Homecoming this week with a schedule full of fun events to celebrate. The week will lead up to the anticipation of Friday night's varsity football game as the Bobcats will host Cassopolis at 7 p.m.
The theme for this years homecoming is Colleges, and each class will get to support the team assigned to them. On Monday, Twin Day was held, where students and staff dressed alike. Tuesday is Color Day, as each grade was assigned a certain color to wear. On Wednesday, things will get a little sticky as Duct Tape Day will take place. Friday is Maroon and Gold Day.
Dave Roeder, who is in charge of this year's homecoming, said along with the dress up days, a bon fire and the Powder Puff game will take place Tuesday evening beginning at 7 p.m.
On Friday at 1:30 p.m., an assembly will take place and will be followed by the annual parade, which starts at 5 p.m. The parade will travel down 17th Street to Fulkerson park and down 13th Street.
Halftime festivities at the football game will feature the crowning of the homecoming royalty and fireworks. A dance will follow the game for students of Brandywine.
