NILES – Buchanan's cross country teams competed in the New Prairie (Ind.) Invitational meet on Saturday.
The Lady Bucks placed 10th out of 27 teams in Class A.
Finishing sixth overall was Torrie Eger with a time of 20:29, followed by Elizabeth Hein (21:40), Alyssa Kruchkow (22:13), Allie Hemphill (24:20), Courtney Adolph (24:21), Chelsea Adolph (24:53), and Stephanie Reith (24:53).
In the reserve race Ashley Best finished with a time of 25:03, Tabatha Hipshear finished at 29:57, Kacy Lemon at 30:54, and Mary Siemon at 32:49.
Buchanan's boys' team was led by Jon Borr finishing at 18:38. Other finishers for Buchanan were Rick Reith (19:26), Jon Young (20:13), John Kuntz (20:42), Josh Tidey (20:48), and Allan Morse (23:44).
The boys' team finished 27th overall.
