"Whenever we face Brandywine, I expect a hard fought contest," Niles coach Jerry Holtgren said. "It was the second time we have played them in a week, so both of us knew what to expect. Much of the game we worked the ball well and were able to keep pressure on their goal."
Due to injuries, Niles was forced to play some younger players. Zach Bloss made he first start in goal and drew praise from his coach.
"I was definitely pleased with his performance," Holtgren said. "His addition will help us in the coming weeks."
Brandywine dropped to 1-4 with the loss.
