Pay raises set at 3%

NILES – At Monday evening's meeting, City Administrator Terry Eull received a 3 percent pay raise from the Niles City Council.
All city employees also received the same pay raise. Eull, who has served as city administrator for nine years, also received another week of paid vacation, bringing him to a total of six weeks. Eull's raise increases his salary to $96,900. Eull will also receive a 10 percent bonus on Aug. 24, which marks his hiring date.
In other news, the council asked for addition information on Dial-A-Ride's request to consider the quote of $81 per tire from Pomps Tire Service, Inc. of South Bend, Ind. for the purchase of 48 tires at a cost of $3,888.00.
The council approved adopting a resolution to place a proposition for a Dial-A-Ride millage of .50 on the Nov. 6, city general election ballot will take place. It was also approved to enter into a contract with Support the Fort, Inc. for the replication of an antique religious medal.
