Dial-A-Ride seeking 48 tires and millage

NILES – Tonight's Niles City Council meeting will begin at 7:30 p.m. at the council chambers located at the Niles Fire Department building.
At the meeting, it will be asked to consider a request from the Dial-A-Ride coordinator to accept the quote of $81.00 per tire from Pomps Tire Service, Inc. of South Bend, Ind. for the purchase of 48 tires at a cost of $3,888.00.
Also, a consideration of adopting a resolution to place a proposition for a Dial-A-Ride millage of .50 on the Nov. 6, City general election ballot will take place.
In other news, a consideration of approving a request by the museum director to enter into a contract with Support the Fort, Inc. for the replication of an antique religious medal is being asked.
Also is consideration of approving a request to schedule a public hearing for Monday, Aug. 27, at 7:25 p.m. to receive comments on the proposed FY2008 budget for the City of Niles.
