Tigers take Minor Division crown

NILES – The Niles F.O.P. Minor League Tigers wrapped up an oustanding season with a win over the Mets in the inaugural Minor League World Series.
The Tigers, who were also the regular season champions, defeated the Mets 16-8 to finish the season with an impressive 18-1 record.
The Mets finished in second place during the regular season and were presented the runner-up trophies for the World Series.
The regular season closing ceremonies were held immediately following the final game.
