Marlins win Major Division title

NILES – The Bridges Motor Sales Marlins completed a two-game sweep of the Scent-Stalker.com Indians last week to win the Brandywine Cal Ripken Major Division World Series title.
The Marlins, who finished the season 14-1 overall, were also the regular season champions.
In the first game of the World Series, the Marlins won 11-1.
Evan Hartman was the winning pitcher, while the Marlins were led offensively by David Tharp with three singles. Chanc Ravish, Buck Bourdon and Cody Ortiz-Leonard all added two singles each.
Alex Erwin had two singles for the Indians.
In game two, the Marlins won 19-5 with Evan Hartman again taking the win on the mound.
Hartman also paced the Marlins at the plate with two doubles and a single. David Tharp had a double and two singles and Buck Bourdon added three singles.
Pierce Gleason led the Indians with a home run and two singles.
