Whirlpool posts 6-0 win over Internationals

STEVENSVILLE – Whirlpool United got a pair of goals from Mike Dalton as it blanked the Berrien Springs Internationals 6-0 in Blossomland Soccer play on Tuesday at Rockey Weed Field.
Also scoring for the United (4-2-1) were Richard Love, Eduardo Ducatti, Dennis Morais and Tomas Diaz.
The Internationals drop to 1-7 on the season.
Real Dowagiac continues to lead the league with 21 points. P&R FC is tied for second with Diamonds United with 18 points. The St. Joe Kickers and Whirlpool United are tied for fourth with 13 points.
Rounding out the standings are Dura Mold FC (12), Tornados (7), Dowagiac Dawgs (4), St. Stephen's Villains (4), Niles R.A.P. (4), Internationals (3) and Red Arrow Stampede (0).
Mauricio Mancera leads the league and Real Dowagiac in scoring with 19 goals.
Teammate and last year's top scorer, Alejandro Hernandez is second with 12 goals.
Real Dowagiac's Octavio Hernandez is third with 11 goals. Trent Teshka of P&R FC is tied with Clay Hewitt (Dowagiac Dawgs), Rodolfo Hernandez (Real Dowagiac) and Norman Ramirez (Diamonds United) for fourth with eight goals.
Jonathan Martinez is eighth in scoring with seven goals, while Rob Grashorn of St. Stephen's Villains and Jon Radtke of P&R FC are ninth with six goals.
