Two Michigan teams to compete in championship games today

MISHAWAKA , Ind. – Today is championship Thursday for Sports Fest 2007.
Unfortunately for the Michigan All-Stars, they will only be involved in two of those games.
Michigan will take on Indiana East in both baseball and softball at Bethel College this afternoon. Both games are slated to begin at 5:30 p.m.
In other championships today, Indiana East will take on Metro in both girls' and boys' tennis. Those matches are slated to begin at 5 p.m.
In soccer at Marian High School, it will be Indiana East and Metro squaring off as well for the championships.
The girls' soccer match is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m., while the boys' title match is slated for 8 p.m.
It will be Indiana East taking on Metro for the volleyball championship tonight at 7.
On Wednesday, the Michigan boys' soccer team was edged by Metro, 4-2. Indiana East advanced to the championship match with a 9-0 victory over Indiana West.
Also on Wednesday, the Metro squad nipped Team Michigan, 76-74. It was the second straight night that Michigan was defeated by a basket in basketball.
The girls' squad was edged by the Metro All-Stars 57-55 on Tuesday.
Indiana East destroyed Indiana West in the other boys' basketball contest on Wednesday, 106-62.
Sports Fest will wrap up this weekend with the girls' and boys' basketball championship games on Friday. The girl's game will tip-off at 6 p.m. with the boy's title game scheduled to begin at 8 p.m.
On Saturday, football will make its second appearance at Sports Fest.
Indiana East and Indiana West will play the first game at Marian High School at 5 p.m.
Michigan will take on Indiana Metro in the second game at 7 p.m.
