NILES – On Sunday at 9:10 p.m., the Berrien County Sheriff's Department was dispatched to the State Line Party Store located at 1015 State Line Road in Niles Township for an armed robbery in progress. The suspects were described as two black males wearing gray hooded sweatshirts and black jackets who fled the scene on foot, north from the store.
Suspects entered the store around 9:05 p.m. and ordered the store employees to the ground at gunpoint as the registers were emptied with an undetermined amount of money taken.
The two subjects are described as black males approximately 5'7" to 5'9" in height and 160 to 180 pounds. Their approximate ages are in the 30s. Anyone with information is urged to call the BCSD at (269) 9833-7111.
Also responding to the call was Michigan State Police Post 53 in Niles, Saint Joseph County, Indiana, Roseland Police Department and the Indiana State Police.
