NILES – Brandywine's varsity wrestling team picked up two wins on the road Wednesday evening. The Bobcats defeated Allegan, 48-30, and Schoolcraft, 45-30.
With the victories, Brandywine is now 32-5, which has already set a new school record for most wins at the dual meet mark.
The big showdown will be held this evening between the Bobcats and the Buchanan Bucks as one team will finally decide who claims the Lakeland Conference championship.
Last week's dual meet was postponed due to weather and rescheduled for tonight. Both teams are 5-0 in league duals.
The other half of the championship will be decided at Saturday's league meet, which is being hosted by Brandywine. The Bobcats won the Lakeland title in 2004, while Buchanan shared it with Coloma in 2005 and won it outright in 2006.
