Another tourney win for Bobcats

NILES – Another trophy was added to the case Saturday as the Brandywine varsity wrestling team earned a championship win at its own Team Duals tournament.
Teams who competed in Saturday's tournament were Mendon, Cassopolis, Climax-Scotts, Eau Claire and Milan.
Brandywine defeated Milan 39-30; Cassopolis 60-19; Eau Claire 63-15; Mendon 54-19; and Climax-Scotts 54-30 to finish with a perfect 5-0 record.
Milan placed second with a 4-1 record, Cassopolis and Mendon finished third with 2-3 records, Climax-Scotts was fifth with a 1-4 record and Eau Claire finished sixth with an 0-5 record.
Individuals going 5-0 on the day were Chase Molica (135), Jeremy Hechtl (215) and Danny Eaglebarger (275) all of Brandywine; Milan's Dan Vivian (119), Cody O'Keefe (125) and Josh Degowskic (171); John McCoy (145) of Cassopolis; Nathan Beilby of Climax-Scotts; Nathan Bowen of Mendon and Jacob Layman (103) and Corey Dieterhert (130) both of Eau Claire.
Going 4-1 for Brandywine were Pat Van Laere (125), Warren Watson (140) and Kyle Jones (189).
Others posting 4-1 records were Josh Ford (130), Jayne Gruber (135), Jacob Nelson (145), Garrett Gimson (152) Jarryd Gotts (160) and Jake Hill (274) all of Milan; Kevin Davis (112) of Eau Claire; Caleb Stephenson (160) of Mendon; Mike DeGraff, Darby Kelly and Patrick Allen all of Cassopolis; Chris Cochran of Climax-Scotts and Kris Harden of Mendon.
