LANSING – Gov. Jennifer M. Granholm ordered that U.S. flags throughout Michigan and on state waters be lowered for one day on Tuesday, Dec. 19, in honor of Marine Lance Cpl. Brent E. Beeler, 22, of Jackson, who died Dec. 7 while on active duty in Iraq.
Flags should return to full staff on Wednesday.
