COLUMBUS, Ohio – A pair of losses on Saturday dropped the Great Lakes Lightning to third place in the NSA Class A 18U World Series.
The Lightning fell into the consolation bracket with an 8-3 loss to St. Peter's Royals of Missouri.
In the third place game, the Ohio Lasers Gold topped the Lightning, 6-3.
Ashley Brown of Lakeshore had two singles in the final game for the Lightning.
The Lightning finished with a 5-4 record in the tournament. They opened up the tournament with two losses in pool play before winning five straight games.
