Niles JV tennis team wraps up season Monday

NILES - The Niles junior varsity tennis team wrapped up its 2006 season Monday evening.
The Vikings fell to Buchanan in the final game, but coach Greg Gunder said no one is too upset with the loss.
At No. 1 singles, Buchanan's Tony Tyler took a 6-2, 6-3 win over Nick Zechlin.
Matt Ftacek grabbed a 6-4, 5-7, 7-5 win over Matt Stover at No. 2 singles.
At No. 3 singles Phil Bosler suffered a 6-0, 6-0 loss to Ryan Compea and Andy DePue fell to Tyler Siebert at No. 4 singles 6-2, 6-0.
In doubles action, the Vikes had to forfeit the No. 1 doubles match. At No. 2 doubles, Aaron Dibble and John Rothfulks fell to Max Gorton and Andy Hartman 7-9, 6-2 and 3-6.
Dustin Jankoviak and Kyle Lee defeated Kevin Watson and Ruben Parada 9-11, 6-4 and 7-5 and Rikki Jurgonski and Chris Archer fell to Zak Hughey and Devon Deverauk 6-2, 6-4.
