Brandywine boys track team finishes third at Lakeland Conference track meet Tuesday

EDWARDSBURG - The Berrien Springs boys track and field team was the overall champion at Tuesday evening's Lakeland Conference track meet.
The Shamrocks finished with a score of 142 and posted a perfect 7-0 record, giving them the LAC title.
Brandywine finished third at the meet with a total of 106, behind Edwardsburg who finished with 117 points. However, the Bobcats still placed second in the conference with a 6-1 record. Buchanan finished seventh with a total of 15 points and finished seventh in the conference.
The Brandywine and Buchanan girls track teams both tied for seventh in the final standings. The Bobcats had a total of 29 points and Buchanan finished with 13 to place seventh and eighth respectively.
First place finishers on the day in the boys events were Kyle Perry of Brandywine, who had a height of 11-6 in the pole vault.
The 3200 relay team of Curtis Wilson, Brian Wieger, Ricky Wood and Low had a time of 8:47.
Michelle Smith was the lone first place finisher for the Brandywine girls with a height of 8-0 in the pole vault.
