Notre Dame’s McGraw to speak in Dowagiac

DOWAGIAC - The Dowagiac Athletic Booster Club is pleased to announce Muffet McGraw, women's basketball head coach for the University of Notre Dame, as the keynote speaker for the 57th Annual All Sports Banquet, which will be held on Thursday, June 1, at Dowagiac Middle School.
McGraw just completed her 19th year at Notre Dame. Since taking over the top position, she has compiled a record of 429 wins and 167 losses.
She led the Fighting Irish to an NCAA Championship in 2001 and overall has made a tournament appearance in 14 seasons which includes an active streak of 12 consecutive berths.
The Booster Club is excited to bring Coach McGraw to Dowagiac.
McGraw joins a long list of outstanding principal speakers including Michigan football coach Lloyd Carr, former SEC Commissioner Roy Kramer, former Chicago Bears standout Gale Sayers, former DePaul coach Ray Meyers, former Michigan State coach Jud Heathcote, former Notre Dame coach Ara Parseghian, former Chicago Sun Times writer Bill Leason and former sports writer Jim Enright.
Tickets for the banquet are now on sale at the athletic office, the high school office, and at Hannapel Home Center. Dinner and program tickets are available in advance for $8 and for $10 after May 26.
Program only tickets are also available for a cost of $5.
Athletes will be given their tickets during seminar next week.
