NILES - The City of Niles Utilities Department after June 1 will no longer send shut-off notices to customers who are delinquent in paying their bills.
The monthly bill generated by the Utility Department will include information regarding potential shut-off similar to the information shown on the former “pink” shut-off notice. This information will only print if a customer is delinquent at the time their bill is generated. This change in policy will give customers more notice of a potential disconnect than what was possible in the past.
