Vikings, Chieftains end in 4-4 draw Wednesday

NILES - Wednesday's Big 16 Conference West Division tennis match between visiting Dowagiac and Niles ended up in a 4-4 draw.
It was a match that both teams felt they should have won. It was a match that both teams felt they could have lost.
The Chieftains and Vikings split the singles and doubles flights. Dowagiac won the No. 1 and No. 3 flights in singles and the No. 1 and No. 2 flights in doubles. Niles took the No. 2 and No. 4 flights in singles competition and the No. 3 and No. 4 flights in doubles action.
Winning for Niles was Dan Rodts and Julian Freas, while Adam Carlson and Mike DeRose won for the Chieftains.
Doubles winners for the Vikings were Dan Ott and Jonathan Smith, and Jordan Parks and Zak Herrmann. Winning in doubles for the Chieftains were Andrew Cuthbert and Aaron Wilson, and Kyle Kowalski and Adam Hess.
