Home run saves Bobcats against Eddies

NILES - A continuation of Tuesday's baseball game between Brandywine and Edwardsburg, which was called due to darkness, concluded Thursday evening.
The Eddies won the first game Tuesday evening 8-6, but Thursday the Bobcats took a 13-12 win in eight innings.
Dustin Zimmerman's walk-off home run, his second of the game, won it for the bobcats.
Brandywine jumped to a big lead in the bottom of the first inning, scoring nine runs and one run in the second to bring the score to 10-0.
The Eddies came back, though, scoring seven runs in the third, two in the fourth and one in the fifth to tie the game at 10.
The Bobcats regained the lead in the bottom of the fifth, but two runs for the Eddies in the seventh gave them control of the game.
Brandywine again tied the game at 12 in the bottom of the seventh and put the game away in the eighth with Zimmerman's home run.
Matt Wieger also had a home run for the ‘Cats and ended the night with a total of four hits. Noah Udell had three hits, Kevin Curran had two doubles and Justin Ely added a big hit in the seventh.
Jim Archembault went 3-for-4 with two homers for Edwardsburg.
Elrod took the win at the mound for the Bobcats.
