NILES - It's time to sign up for summer softball!
The Niles-Buchanan YCMA is taking registrations for the upcoming Co-ed Adult 12” Slow Pitch Softball League.
This league is for individuals ages 18 and older. Games will be played on Monday and Thursday nights starting the week of May 15.
There is a minimum of four teams to run the league and teams must have a minimum of 10 players on rosters.
Any team who forfeits two games during the season will be removed from the league with no refund. At no time can there be more than five males on the field (pitcher and catcher must be of opposite sex).
The league will accept a maximum of 10 teams, so hurry and sign up as last year the spots were filled before deadline.
There are regular season games plus a tournament to finish the league. There is the possibility of doubleheaders during regular season and tournament.
Total wins will determine league standings. In the case of a tie, head-to-head wins then total runs will decide team placings. All games will be played at Michianan Christian Embassy, 1922 E. Main St. with the first games beginning at 6 p.m. and the second game approximately one hour following.
There will be a mandatory captains meeting set after the registration deadline.
Deadline to register is Monday, May 1. rosters, individual players and team fees must be turned in to the YMCA by this date.
