The Brandywine Bobcats varsity baseball team opened its 2006 season with a 4-3 win over visiting New Buffalo Tuesday.
The Bisons took an early lead, going ahead 2-0 after the first inning. In the bottom of the eighth inning, the game was tied at 3 when Justin Ely hit the game winning RBI to give the Bobcats the victory.
Ely had a total of three RBIs on the day and had one double. Jake Harris took the win on the mound for Brandywine, throwing four scoreless innings.
