STURGIS - The host Trojans outscored Edwardsburg 31-12 in the second half to advance to the finals of the Class B District Basketball Tournament on March 8.
Sturgis, which trailed 17-10 at halftime, rallied for the 41-29 victory over the Eddies, who finish the year at 7-14.
Edwardsburg and Sturgis were tied at 6-6 after one period of play, however, the Eddies outscored the Trojans 11-4 in the second quarter to take the seven-point halftime lead.
Sturgis outscored Edwardsburg 17-5 in the third quarter to grab the lead.
Adam Hancock led the Eddies with 14 points.
He was the lone Edwardsburg player to reach double figures. Tony Hayes had six points and David Daniels five points.
Jeff Kolzow led Sturgis with 16 points, while Bo Felt added 13 points.
