Big 16 spikers head to Battle Creek

NILES - The Big 16 Conference will travel to Battle Creek on Saturday for the season-ending tournament.
The tournament will be held in the new Battle Creek Lakeview High School.
Courts 1 and 2 will be in the main gym, while Courts 3 and 4 will be in the auxillary gym.
All 16 schools will take part in the tournament, which will be played out to all 16 places in a single elimination format.
The tournament will be seeded based on division standings as well as crossover records.
The final round of crossovers is set for Wednesday night.
Niles will host Battle Creek Central at 6 p.m., while Dowagiac will host Kalamazoo Loy Norrix.
All matches will be a best-of-five format with rally scoring to 25 points with no cap. The third game, if necessary, will be to 15 points with no cap.
Play is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. Opening ceremonies will take place at 8:50 a.m.
Cost is $5 for adults and $3 for students.
