Lady Eddies top Cassopolis in Lakeland Conference play

The Edwardsburg varsity volleyball team defeated visiting Cassopolis in a Lakeland Conference match Wednesday night, 25-10, 25-23 and 25-13.
Malorie Woods had seven kills and eight aces to lead the Lady Eddies.
Susanna Martino and Stephanie Koontz had five and four kills respectively.
Nikki Thompson finished with 10 digs, 15 assists and three aces.
Nikki Focht added 25 digs, while Chrissy Breisch had eight digs and three aces.
The Lady Rangers got solid play from Molly Vite and Branna Wyant according to first-year coach Erica Boulanger.
Vite led the team in kills, while Dee Dee Hawkins was second on the team.
Playing well for the Lady Rangers were Symone Pompey, Kyra Luckey, Nikitas Nelson, Nicole Green and Wyant.
Boulanger also singled out Becky File and Kara Simmons for their work on offense as well as defense.
Kayla Green led the team in assists, while Sara McIntyre also had several assists. Hawkins led the team in serving.

The Lady Rangers dropped a 25-21, 25-16 and 25-10 decision to Bridgman in recent action.
File and Vite led the team in kills, while Nelson and Pompey led in digs.
McIntyre paced the Lady Rangers in setting assists and serving.
