Richard J. Rothbaler, 81, of Bell Road, Niles, died at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 29, at Lakeland Specialty Hospital, in Berrien Center, following a brief illness.
The Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 1, at St. Mary Catholic Church, in Niles, by the Rev. Joseph McCormick, O.S.A., of the parish, and the Rev. William T. Melody, of Notre Dame, Ind. Committal rites will follow at Mission Hills Memorial Gardens, in Niles, and will conclude with Full Military Honors By American Legion Post No. 51, in Buchanan.
The family will receive relatives and friends from 2 to 4 and from 6 to 8 p.m. today, with a prayer service at 8, at Halbritter Funeral Home, in Niles.
