Brandywine takes third at tourney

QUINCY - The Brandywine varsity wrestling team finished third at the Shawn Cockrell Memorial Invitational on Saturday.
Addison grabbed the team championship with 308 points. Martin was second with 246.5 points, while the Bobcats were third with 183 points.
Battle Creek Harper Creek finished fourth with 164.5 points and host Quincy fifth with 156.5 points. Union City was sixth (142), Ida was seventh (109.5), Lawrence was eighth (77) and Gobles was ninth (62).
Taking first place for the Bobats were Warren Watson at 125-pounds and Jeremy Hechtl at 215-pounds.
Finishing third were Justin Price at 152-pounds, Joel Perry at 160-pounds and Adam Simons at 189-pounds.
Taking fourth for Brandywine were Bryon Fisher at 103-pounds, Pat Van Laere at 119-pounds and Kyle Jones at 171-pounds.
The Bobcats are back on the mat on Wednesday against Berrien Springs.
