NILES - Visiting Brandywine used seven victories by technical fall, pin or forfeit to defeat Cassopolis in a Lakeland Conference match on Wednesday, 45-28.
The Bobcats (3-0 Lakeland Conference, 13-4 overall) picked up five pins, a technical fall and a forfeit to cruise to the easy victory.
Earning victories by way of pins were Patrick Van Laere, Warren Watson, Joel Perry, Kyle Jones and Jeremy Hechtl.
Van Laere pinned Cassopolis' Thanly Noringhang in 4:51 of the 119-pound bout.
Watson pinned Ashley McCoy in 34 seconds at 130-pounds, while Joel Perry pinned Joey Sobieski at 160-pounds. The pin came just 1:22 into the bout.
Kyle Jones followed with a pin at 171-pounds as he stuck Josh Westphal with 40 seconds remaining in the match.
Hechtl picked up the final pin at 215-pounds when he stuck Scott Turnbow in 1:18.
Bryton Hutchings picked up six points at 112-pounds via the forfeit.
Adam Simons scored a technical fall with a 17-2 victory over Josh Duebner at 189-pounds.
Also winning for the Bobcats was Kyle Perry at 140-pounds. Perry won by major decision over Steven Westphal, 15-4.
The Rangers earned wins at 103-, 125-, 135-, 145-, 152- and 275-pounds.
The wins came from J.J. Bethea, Kim Vaughn, Cory Lowe, John McCoy and John Wirick.
The Bobcats are back in action on Saturday as they host the Brandywine Invitational beginning at 9 a.m.
The Rangers are also in action on Saturday as they travel to the Athens Invitational.
In junior varsity action on Wednesday, Brandywine picked victories from Josh Huffman and 145-pounds, Brad Ritchey at 145-pounds and Robert Basker at 152-pounds.
Huffman and Ritchey both won by pins, while Basker won by decision.
