Brandywine JV team takes win

NILES - Brandywine's junior varsity basketball team took a 39-29 win over Delton-Kellogg Tuesday evening.
The Panthers made an attempt to take control of the game in the fourth quarter, but could only come within five points of the Bobcats' lead.
Danny Williams led the team in scoring with nine points on the night.
Josh Benjamin added eight, Shane Bankston had six and Cody Smith and Mark Seastrom both added five.
Brian Diaz led Delton-Kellogg with 15 points.
Brandywine will take part in the Niles Holiday Classic Basketball Tournament on Tuesday, where the Bobcats will face Niles at 2 p.m.
The winner will play the winner of the Coloma/Lake Michigan Catholic game on Wednesday at 2 p.m.
The losers will face off at 2 p.m. in the auxiliary gym.
Freshmen game
Brandywine's freshmen team suffered a 42-29 loss to Delton Kellogg Tuesday afternoon.
Brett Gilpin lead all scorers with 11 points, while Zach Edquist had five.
The freshmen team will also take part in the Niles Holiday Classic, taking on Niles at 12 p.m. on Tuesday in the auxiliary gym.
The winner will face the winner of the Coloma/Lake Michigan Catholic game on Wednesday at 12 p.m. in the main gym.
The losers will play at 12 p.m. on Wednesday in the auxiliary gym.
