For those of you who think you never have time to work out…think again!
With the very busy lifestyle we have come to know these days, it may seem impossible to squeeze in an extra hour - even half an hour - to get yourself in shape.
But did you know it only takes 10 minutes or less a day to get yourself on the right track! No more hour long aerobics classes or 30 minute abs, 10 minutes is all you need!
Here are some fun and easy workouts for you to try in the comfort of your own home, at the office, or even in the grocery isle line!
Tighten that tummy
It's not that hard! Ten minutes a day of ab tightening exercises can flatten that tummy faster than you think!
Try doing as many sit-ups as you can in 10 minutes. If you are just starting though, don't overdue it!
If you do 100 sit-ups on your first day, chances are your going to have a sore stomach, unless you are more advanced.
Try doing one rep of 20, or if you are a little more advanced, do three reps.
Another great thing for your tummy is to suck it is! Everytime you walk, make it a point to hold your stomach in for as long as you can, even if you are just walking to the next room.
Tone your upper body
Nothing's easier than wall push-ups, especially for those who are not used to working out their upper bodies. Doing 2-3 sets of 10 will help define arms, back and shoulders. You can always try the floor push-ups, just be careful and don't do too many. You don't want stiff arms in the morning!
Squeeze in cardiovascular exercise
It's 9 p.m. and your favorite show is on. You haven't done your work-out for the day and are feeling a little guilty. You know you should get up and get moving, but you really don't want to miss your show. No problem!
When those dreaded commercials hit, run or march in place, do some jumping jacks or throw some punches in the air.
Believe it or not these will all get your blood flowing and your heart going! Commercials can last anywhere from one-three minutes. If your show is one hour long, chances are you are seeing 12-17 minutes of commercials.
There, your nightly work-out was easier than you thought!
Get flexible
There's always time to stretch. Waiting for the kids to get off the bus, the water to boil or the laundry to get done? Stretch, stretch, stretch.
Do simple stretches like touching your toes or reaching as high as you can. Stretching not only reduces muscle soreness and enhances muscle performance, but it relaxes the mind and body as well.
Try a yoga tape or dvd after a stressful day at work or just before you go to bed at night.
