Eddies advance to finals

NILES - Brandywine's varsity soccer team dropped a 2-0 decision Monday afternoon at Edwardsburg High School as the Lakeland Conference Tournament continued.
Edwardsburg's first goal came from Chris Hayes in the first half during the 18th minute on an assist from Brent Shuttleworth.
In the second half, during the 41st minute, Gary Klann scored the next Eddies goal on an assist from Hayes.
Bridgman will face Edwardsburg for the conference championship at Brandywine High School at 7 p.m. on Wednesday.
District soccer pairings
The Division 3 soccer district schedule was released, with Edwardsburg playing host to this year's tournament.
The first set of games is scheduled to begin on Monday, Oct. 24. Brandywine will face River Valley at 7 p.m.; Coloma will take on Bridgman at 6 p.m. Dowagiac will meet with Buchanan at 4:30 p.m. and Edwardsburg will face Berrien Springs at 4:30 p.m.
The winners of the Brandywine/River Valley and Col-oma/Bridgman game will play on Wednesday, Oct. 26 at 4:30 p.m.
The winners from the Dowagiac/Buchanan and Edwardsburg/Berrien Springs game will play on Thursday, Oct. 27 at 4:30 p.m. The final two teams will play on Saturday, Oct. 29 for the championship game at noon.
