Cassopolis wraps up summer baseball season with loss to Three Rivers

Cassopolis finished its summer season by dropping a 12-2 decision to Three Rivers July 7.
Cassopolis finishes the summer with a 5-7 record.
Cass opened up a 2-0 lead when Jake McDonald crushed a hanging curve ball from Three Rivers pitcher Ken Taylor for a two- run homer, but that is all the kids from Cass could muster.
Taylor had Cass on their heels all night.
Three Cassopolis players, Jason Rietveld, Jake McDonald, and Andre Broussard have been voted on to the district 15 All-Star team that will compete for the Big League District championship in Constantine against the Three Rivers All-Stars on Tuesday and Wednsday July 12-13. The winner will then advance to Taylor where all district winners will compete for the Michigan state chamionship July 15-18.
The District 15 All-Stars are made up of the top players from Constantine, Paw Paw, Cassopolis, Sturgis, Centreville, White Pigeon, and Mendon.
