CASSOPOLIS - Shirley J. Harkins, 74, of 23487 Oak Terrace, Cassopolis, died at 10:40 a.m. Monday, June 27, 2005, in her home after an extended illness.
Rev. Bill Bruneau, pastor of Penn Friends Church, 19107 Quaker St., Cassopolis, will officiate at her funeral at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 30.
Burial will be in Prairie Grove Cemetery, Penn Township, two hours before the service in the church Thursday.
Shirley was a lover of wildlife and enjoyed being in the outdoors.
She was proud of her Cherokee Indian heritage.
