Sports Fest action continues

MISHAWAKA, Ind. - The Michigan All-Stars advanced to Friday's championship game with a 68-57 victory over Indiana West Tuesday night at Bethel College in Mishawaka, Ind.
Michigan trailed 33-30 at halftime and then 36-30 to start the second half following a three-pointer by Whitney Cole.
That was all she wrote for the Indiana All-Stars as Michigan outscored them 38-21 the rest of the way.
Michigan used a height advantage to claim the victory.
Niles' Amber Peters scored 15 points to lead the All-Stars, who also got 12 points from Cassopolis' Jealyn Foston.
Niles' Kate Whittaker and Melissa Olsen both scored four points, while Buchanan's Dee Dee Thompson finished with six points.
Niles girls varsity basketball coach Jim Arnold has the pleasure of coaching this year's Michigan team.
The championship game is set for 7 p.m. Friday where the Michigan All-Stars will face Indianan Metro.
The Michigan All-Stars picked up victories in softball, girls' basketball and girls' soccer.
Dowagiac's Brittney Reist led the All-Stars to a 11-0 rout of Indiana West Tuesday evening at Bethel College.
Reist picked up the victory on the mound, working five innings. She also had four hits, including a grand slam and double, which led to six RBIs.
Reist will attend Western Michigan University on a softball scholarship.
Dowagiac's Mandy Parish, who will play softball at Ferris State University, added three hits and a RBI.
Brandywine's Amanda Grice finished with two hits.
Michigan will play on Thursday in the championship game set to begin at 6:30 p.m. (Michigan time).
Sturgis' Jackie Schaeffer scored four goals as Michigan blanked the Indiana West All-Stars 7-0 in girls' soccer Tuesday night.
Dowagiac's Hillary Bisnett had a goal and an assist for the Michigan All-Stars, who advance to Thursday's championship match. The match is set f or 7 p.m.
Niles' Sara Dresser added an assist.
The Michigan All-Stars dropped a 3-2 decision to Indiana West in boys' tennis on Tuesday.
Buchanan's Korey Camp and Mike Dennison won at No. 2 doubles, 6-4 and 6-0.
Michigan was defeated by the Indiana West All-Stars, 14-7 in baseball.
Niles Matt Richardson took the loss. Niles' Cory Coquillard had an RBI single, while Edwardsburg's Zac Rooney had two hits.
