NILES - Sixth grade students at Brandywine Elementary will be taking a big step in their lives as they enter the seventh grade at the middle school in the fall.
On Thursday morning the students were recognized at a ceremony in front of friends, family, faculty and administrators.
Rider added that this class has shown great leadership in different projects they have done throughout the year and will do great things in the future.
Guest speaker Craig Tournquist spoke to the students about the importance of taking chances in life through his comedy act.
Tournquist talked to the students about how he never really thought he was good at anything until a seventh grade teacher encouraged him to try out for the talent show and to use his skills and talents on stage.
Tournquist added that middle school is where you can discover yourself and that each person has their own special gifts and talents, they just have to take the time to find them.
