Rangers sweep

The Cassopolis varsity softball team has won six straight games and is heading into the Division 4 district tourament with a full head of steam.
The Lady Rangers (9-15) swept the host Lady Beavers 10-7 and 15-12.
In the first game Symone Pompey picked up the victory as she struck out four and allowed five hits.
In the second game Randi Hoffman earned the win as she fanned five. Pompey earned a save.
Offensively for the Lady Rangers in the first game Jealyn Foston had a double and a triple. Amanda Weiss finished with a double and two singles, while Ashley Solloway tripled and singled.
Nikitas Nelson had three hits for the Lady Rangers who also got a double from Becky File.
In the nightcap, Foston had two doubles and a single, while Nelson had two singles and a double.
Cassopolis also got three hits from Solloway, a double and two singles from Jessica Frucci and two hits each from Baily Wyant and File.
