NILES - The fourth annual Milano's Golf Outing was held this past weekend at Hampshire Country Club and again, like in years past, was a huge success.
The outing raises money for local cancer services like Hospice, Berrien County Cancer Service, American Cancer Society and is even donated to local benefits.
This year, there were 84 sponsors with a total of 140 golfers and 36 teams who all golfed 18 holes to raise money for the event.
The event has grown so much that this year almost 10 teams were turned down and Krueger admitted she did not want that to happen.
The outing has raised $14,300 so far from this past weekend and all monies raised will be given to the local services.
But Krueger admits none of this could be possible without the help of the sponsors.
Fred Krueger, owner of Krueger's Septic Service, donated a $500 trip voucher. The trip is actually to Las Vegas, but the winner may chose to go anywhere if they wish.
Tyler Automotive also donated some really big prizes for the golfer who could land a hole-in-one.
There were four par three holes in which golfers could win prizes like a Nike driver, four nights and five days in Acapulco, Mexico, two round trip tickets anywhere in the continental U.S. and even a car!
