Sixth grader takes first at golf tournament

NILES - The Allstar Junior Golf Tournament, sponsored by Nike, made a stop at Blackthorn Golf Club in South Bend and Christopher Noble of Niles was the champion of the boys 10-12 year old division.
Noble took first place with rounds of 77-82. He is a sixth grade student at St. Mary's School.
Noble earned an exemption to the Allstar Junior Golf Tour Midwest Regional at Crooked Tree Golf Clun in Mason, Ohio that was held this past weekend.
The Allstar Junior Golf Tour offers competitive junior golf experience to junior golfers in all divisions. Girls ages 10-14 and 15-19 years-old.
Boys divisions are 10-12, 13-15 and 16-19 years-old.
The junior golf tournaments are played on some of the nation's most famous golf courses that many golfers only ever dream of playing. It allows junior golfers ages 10-19 years of age, both boys and girls, to compete in nationally ranked junior golf tournaments on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.
All junior golf tournaments are held in the fall, 2inter and spring. The Allstar Junior Golf Tour is designed to give junior golfers the experience needed to learn every aspect of golf. The tour provides junior golfers an opportunity to participate in both regional junior golf tournaments, as well as national junior golf tournaments.
By competing in the tournaments, competitors help increase their odds of being evaluated by college golf coaches and recruiters. The tour provides an avenue for aspiring junior golfers to gain competitive national ranking, which is important to today's junior golfers when trying to obtain a college golf scholarship.
